Eddy Current Testing (ET) Level I

Overview

Basic principles of Eddy currents & electro magnetism, Flux Leakage Theory, Depth and Current Density, Physical Properties of Metals, Instrumentation, Type of Coils, Application of ECT, Tube Testing, ASME Section V Requirements, Interpretation of signals, Impedance Plane diagrams and so on.

Who should Attend

Ideally suited for inspection engineers, technicians, NDT operators or surveyors who require a knowledge of Eddy Current Testing techniques, an understanding of likely problem areas and an appreciation of inspection methodology.

Pre requisites

The training courses are based on the Employer Written Practice (In line with SNT-TC-1A).

 

METHOD EDUCATION EXPERIENCE IN METHOD 
            ET Level I a) Degree/Diploma in Engineering/Degree in Science
b) High school graduate or equivalent

Level I Minimum 3 months (210 / 400 hrs)


Level II Minimum 12 months (630 / 1200 hrs)
